Welcome to CEBCAT

Overview of the project
The CEBCAT project will support the urgent actions required for the European Union’s Green Deal and the global transition toward a circular economy, placing special emphasis on developing the competencies and expertise needed for the application of circular economy principles across all regions — particularly in economies facing significant transition barriers, as observed in various Asian countries.
The objective of the project is to enhance international cooperation by transferring the EU’s knowledge and experience in sustainability and circular economy principles, focusing mainly on the automotive sector, energy transition, and professional profiles related to this transition.

Advancing Circular Economy Skills
The project envisages postgraduate courses targeted at fresh graduates and professionals; these will encompass main environmental issues, sustainable practices, and tools needed to manage circular initiatives. Participants will be equipped with the knowledge to drive sustainability in their domains through a mix of mandatory courses and thesis opportunities. It would include major themes such as green hydrogen, biofuels, a bigger energy transition, and different professions involved in implementing circular policy.

Building Sustainable Workforce Skills
In view of the challenges currently being experienced by Asian economies, particularly with regard to dependency on fossil energies, waste management and public awareness, the CEBCAT project is focusing its efforts on providing customised training in response to these identified gaps. The enhancement of competencies for professional growth related to sustainability is instrumental in enabling the project to serve environmental needs and foster the growth of a circular economy, characterised by a highly skilled workforce, innovative new job descriptions, and emerging markets related to circularity.
